Tharp & Associates, Inc. is a firm with an office in the Monterey Bay area. We offer a full range of Geotechnical and Geologic Consultation services from preliminary site assessments through final certification. Our engineers, registered in California and six other states, are fully experienced in a wide range of geotechnical projects both large and small, and are familiar with the special requirements of the local areas we serve.

Tharp & Associates, Inc. possesses a full service laboratory in which we are able to perform the soil testing required by even the most demanding projects. Our technical staff is NICET certified in soils, asphalt testing in the field, and concrete and ACI certified in concrete testing. They possess the poise, experience and training necessary to assure professional quality control. We are fully mobilized to serve the Monterey Bay area and beyond.

Our firm carries $1,000,000 in liability insurance with client co-insured riders, which meets the requirements of most municipal, country and commercial clients.

Our fees are competitive and our "hourly with lump sum not to exceed" contract format offers our clients the assurance of the most economical billing while at the same time insuring against unauthorized cost overruns.
